World Youth Day, Lisbon 2023

From August 1st to 6th, 2023, the next World Youth Day, Lisbon 2023, will take place in Lisbon, with the theme: “Mary rose up and went with haste”(Lk 1:39). The Redemptorist communities located in the outskirts of Lisbon, namely Buraca, Damaia, and Venda Nova, are preparing to welcome young people from different parts of the world at this important meeting of Catholic youth. It is our desire to welcome Redemptorist youth in our communities, and it is in this sense that we are preparing to receive them. We invite all groups interested in participating in the WYD Lisbon 2023 to register in our macro group through the following link:

On August 2nd, 2023, in the afternoon and evening, we will hold the Redemptorist Youth Encounter – Alphonsian Day. The Alphonsian Day will take place outdoors in a municipal park/garden in the Buraca community. We will soon provide more information about this day. We look forward to seeing all of you so that, with joy, we can follow the steps of Christ the Redeemer.
