Fr. Piotr Sułkowski – the new Secretary of the CRE

The Council of the CRE asked Fr. Pietro Sułkowski from the Rome Province, to be the part-time Secretary of the CRE, in place of Fr. Stanula who has become the Provincial of the Province of France.

The “Curriculum Vitae” of Fr. Piotr Sułkowski.
Fr. Piotr was born in 1972 in Nowy Sącz (south-eastern part of Poland). After the finishing high school in Stary Sącz, he entered to the Major Seminary of the Redemptorists in Kraków. After his first religious profession in 1994, he continued his studies in the Theological Institute of Verona (Italy).
He was ordained in 1999 in Tuchów (Poland). After ordination, he worked as a confessor at the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bussolengo. At that time he was also preaching spiritual retreats and parish missions.
After his incardination to the Rome Province of the Redemptorists (2003), he was appointed vicar of the parish of St. John Neumann in Rome. He studied at the Faculty of Education in the “Salesianum” (Rome) with a specialization in vocational formation. He was transferred to the parish of St. Joachim (Rome) in 2008, as an assistant priest and the formator of the seminarians in Interprovincial Studentate.
For several years he was in charge of youth ministry and Redemptorist vocational work and was a member of the Secretariat for Formation in the Rome Province. He was also the Provincial Consultor (2008-2011) and the Vicar of the Provincial (2011-2014).
Currently he is responsible for ongoing formation and for the archives of the Province. He is the member of the Secretariat for Evangelization of the CRE and has coordinated the work of the Commission of the RYVM from 2011. Since 2009 he is the member of the National Office for the Religious Vocations of the CEI (Conference of Italian Bishops), and of the Editorial Board of the magazine “Vocations”. He is also one of the coordinators of “the Table of Consecrated Life” in Italy. Furthermore he is the member of the group that prepares the various supports for vocational work in Italy. He cooperates closely with the CISM (Conference of Major Superiors in Italy) as a member of the team for the animation of the Consecrated Life, and since 2008 as the responsible for the pastoral care of vocations and as editor of the magazine “Religious in Italy”. He is one of the leaders of the annual workshops in Collevalenza for the Italian formators.

Zdzisław Franciszek (François) STANULA CSsR


Zdzisław Franciszek (François) STANULA CSsR was born in 1964 in south-east Poland (Szerzyny). He finished his philosophy and theology studies in The Major Seminary of Redemptorists in Tuchow (Poland). His first religious profession was in 1987 and he was ordaind as the priest in 1992.

After the short staying in Paris, where he was learning French, he went to Burkina Faso for mission work (1993-2006). He studied the moral theology in Madrid in 1994 – 1996, and he received the licentiate degree.

He was working in formation houses (postulancy, studentate) in Africa many years. He was giving the lectures about moral theology in the Major Seminary in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). He prepared many seminars for religious and lay people about moral theology and religious life. He was the president of the Formation Commission, Burkina Faso – Niger (2004-2006).

He was working as the parish vicar and the diocesan chaplain of Spanish speaking migrants in Perth Amboy in Metuchen Diocese (NJ) in USA (2006-2008). He has started his doctorate studies in Alphonsian Accademy in Rome in 2008. He was living in Paris from 2009 to almost the end of 2012. He was elected as the Secretary of the Conference of Redemptorists in Europe in 2012 and he is living in Rome.
