Working Group for Social Ministry meets in Lyon

DSC07136.1

The Working Group for Social Ministry in CRE met for their yearly meeting from 20 to 22 April 2015 in Lyon. A large part of the meeting was dedicated on exchanging developments in the proper working environment of the participants: Brunnenprojekt Hustadt in Bochum (Germany), Luxembourg (Luxembourg), Lviv (Ukraine), Haus Sarepta (Vienna-Austria).
Again, it turned out, that this exchange is very helpful for further reflection and development on concrete social ministry. It was decided, that short descriptions of examples of social ministry in Europe will be placed on the website of the conference. The group will make an effort to connect to other persons that work in social ministry and/or with migrants.
The superior of the Redemptorist community where the group was staying, invited them to visit one of the suburbs of Lyon. Here the Redemptorist recently took over five parishes with many migrants. A small Redemptorist community lives there in a parish house.
The next meeting of the working group will take place in Vienna.
