Letter from Coordinator 06 2011

Dear Confreres,
Dear Lay Missionaries of the Most Holy Redeemer,
Dear Partners in Mission,
Greetings to all of you and to the members of your Units. I hope that this time of Lent helps all of us to prepare for the greatest mysteries of our faith. May every day of this special season help us to recognize the precious gift of our Redemption.
Some news: First of all I would like to share with you the very good news we received at the beginning of this year: the Rescript from Fr. General in which he accepted our Apostolic Priorities. It seems that now we can take other steps about some apostolic plans and concrete decisions. The official language of this document is English – so we are trying to improve the Italian version and we will send it to every Unit with some official copies in English and Italian. We plan to print “The Statutes of the CRE” and “The Apostolic Priorities”.
We held the Consulta of the CRE in Rome (16-17.02.2012). Pedro Lopez, Johannes Römelt, Zdzislaw Stanula and I discussed some issues connected with our future plans. We would like to inform you that the list of all the members of the different Secretariats, Commissions, and Working Groups in the CRE is completed. The Consulta has decided about the place for our next Assembly. It will take place in our community house in Kraków (Poland). I would like to thank especially the Provincials for their different proposals. As you were informed, the Midsexennium Meeting will be connected with our Assembly. The Midsexennium Meeting is convoked by Fr. General – so we will wait for the official letter. The proposed dates are the same as we decided during our last Assembly in Dublin:
29th of October (Monday) – The day of arrival in Kraków;
30th of October to 3rd of November (Tuesday to Saturday) – working days for the Midsexennium Meeting [5 days]

During our Consulta there was also discussion about ways of communication in our Conference and about the webpage of the CRE. Some proposals – prepared in Spain – were presented to us. There will be the meeting of the Communication Group in March to finish the first official version. The members of this Commission are waiting some suggestions, proposals etc. Please send them to the president of Communication Group Fr. Zdzislaw Stanula (secretariat@cssr- europe.com). The official site of our Conference will be: www.cssr-europe.com

Acknowledgments

I would like to say thanks to all the people engaged in the preparation of the last meetings in which I was able take part.
First of all – thank you for the invitation to the Episcopal Ordination ceremony of our confrere – Bishop Antonio De Luca in Naples (January 7). Once again I wish many graces and God’s help for Bp. Antonio.
There was also a meeting of the Preparatory Commission for the Redemptorist Youth Meeting in San Sperate – Sardinia (January, 13-14). Fr. Giovanni Congiu, Fr. Piotr Sulkowski and the youth are doing an excellent job with all the preparations. Thanks for all the work. I would like to invite all Redemptorists who are responsible for youth in different Units to engage in a special preparation of youth in their respective Units for our meeting in 2013.
My sincere thanks to Fr. Ronnie McAinsh for the invitation to the Assembly of the London Province in Hawkstone (January 23-26). It was a great opportunity for me to meet all the confreres from the London Province and to share with them our visions and plans.
Thanks also for the invitation to preach the recollection day and to work with the members of the Provincial Chapter of Warsaw Province in Tuchów (February 6-10).
Finally, thank you very much also for many individual meetings in Rome during these last two months connected with the different issues in our CRE: Fr. General Michael Brehl; Fr. Jacek Dembek – General Consultor; Fr. Stanisław Wróbel – General Bursar; Fr. Janusz Sok, Provincial of Warsaw Province and for all the meetings outside Rome. As usual, I am grateful for your letters and the invitations for the different meetings. If possible, I will take part in as many as possible.
